Canada Day - Comox Valley

Canada Day in the Comox Valley, Saturday July 1, 2017 is a celebration honoring our country’s 150th birthday. This is one of the Comox Valley’s premier yearly events and it is all free. Courtenay is the place to be on Canada Day! Special events start on Friday, June 30 at 4 pm at Simms Park, with an historical Canadian pageant at 7 pm. Canada Day itself starts with the Kinsmen's pancake breakfast at 7 am, followed by the parade, then fun, games and music in the park, and winds up with a free family variety show at the Sid Williams Theatre at 7 pm. Check the website for the complete schedule. There is always a need for more volunteers to help with this event and those interested are invited to contact Edwin Grieve at or Marian Holland at
